1ère NIGHT WORLD - FULL MOON RIDE
THE ARTISTS' VISIONS
The energy of this project is directly induced by the forces present: the difference in altitude, the power of the mountains, the cold, the unobstructed beauty, are ingredients of creation.
It is also important to see the man behind the athlete. The sportsman is born from the encounter with his tool, here a bicycle. We will call “flash object” the coming together of man and his machine, to perceive it as a whole.
Without putting the man in the center, as a way of placing things at their fair value, the “lightning object” will only exist in light when it is confronted with speed. The environment, pre-existing, will be highlighted, it will be, not enlightened but underlined…
The athlete offers a new look and invites us into the experience, while the mountain tolerates it and carries it.
This year, for a world first, Éric Barone wants to go down at night without the track being lit, on a full moon night. The setting in almost total blindness allows the sportsman the integrality of these heightened directions, for new feelings, the night appears like a rebirth.
It is up to us, artists, to develop around this desire, in order to bring sensitivity to this performance. Black allows us to highlight dominant elements. It will be a game of shadows, like a painting in chiaroscuro that allows us to tell these dazzling seconds.
The promise of a breathtaking show has been kept, congratulations to the artists, the teams and Éric Barone
THE FLASH PROJECT
The sportsman is the one who founds the initial project but it is the work of bringing together a whole bunch of elements entering into symbiosis that creates such a performance. the red baron in shooting stars! January 21, 2016
